Spring, Year 274 After the War

 

Our story starts  deep within the countryside of man's territory, in the village of Aryn. Nestled between the Albion Mountains and the Aryn Forest, this quaint town hides out of sight and out of mind, and their lives are untroubled.  Borne of generations of hard work, this collection of peoples brings diversity to an otherwise uninhabited area.  Their work is hard, but their lives well spent and decades of peace have lulled humanity into calm complacency.

A menace grows upon the horizon, and the peoples of Aryn have noticed the subtle disturbances. Great swaths of the forest have been felled and beasts flee from the shelter of the trees. Roars and streams of fire line the previously desolate mountainsides, a sign that the worst had come. . .

Dragons.

The ancient home of the fawnlings has been overrun, and the intelligent, gentle creatures are being hunted. Forced to rely upon their old friends and allies, they seek shelter among humans.  As more land is taken and more fawns and guards are slain, tensions rise and threats swell.

​

Where once was peace, now darkness falls.  The ancient rivalry between three misunderstood species teeters upon the brink of war once again.  As rumors of declarations of war circulate among humans, the dragons whisper of another great terror.  From within their ranks, there has risen dissent.  Blood has been spilled, and a princess flees to find safety for her people. All they wish is to find a new home.

In a land on the edge of war, your characters must try to find their place.  Fear runs rampant and uncertainty breeds dissent.  Where will your path lead?
